The Paradox of Modern Wellness

The paradox of modern wellness: the more solutions we buy, the less certain we become.

You don't want more supplements. Don't you already own an aisle of them?

But modern wellness mistakes abundance for precision and efficacy.

Every week there's another power ingredient. It was aloe, then turmeric, flaxseeds, then CoQ10, then peptides — and I've lost the plot on what's trending today. If this wasn't enough, there is another podcast, another ring, another “must-have,” and yet another person whose miracle is supposed to become yours.

The end result isn't better health. It's just decision fatigue.

We have always called it the paradox of choice: when more options don't create more confidence, they create more doubt.

Isn't that understandable? Your body doesn't experience nutrition the way the internet claims it will. It has its own system, its unique hormonal make-up, its own deficiencies, its own stress, its own biology.

A supplement isn't inherently good or bad.

It's only useful if it is solving your problem.

Perhaps the future of supplementation isn't discovering more molecules, but figuring out what works for people individually.
